Hubby Update

After spending the night in pain, my husband finally agreed to go to the emergency room with my son-in-law. Thank you, Jimmy Reid!!! Love you.

So the E.R. docs think it might be a torn meniscus, which can occur from damage to the inside of the knee. The medial and lateral menisci (plural of meniscus) are semi-round pieces of cartilage that act as shock absorbers and smooth cushions for the thighbone (femur). These menisci can be injured acutely or can become dysfunctional gradually due to overuse.

He was told to REST and apply ICE and if it doesn't ease up, he'll need more x-rays and a trip to the specialist.

I told him he is not allowed to play with his new snow blower until he sees the orthopedic doctor.

Will he listen?

I sure hope so, but thank you to all my Facebook friends and family who sent out best wishes.

The Amazing Accident Prone Family

Today is my daughter ReRe and her husband Jim's wedding anniversary. They've been married for 21 years. Happy Anniversay and please try to stay unbroken for the next 21 years. Love Mom

I posted a blog in May about my daughter and her husband almost meeting the Grim Reaper while riding a four wheel quad. They were on a mini vacation with two of the boys when the accident happened. Jim had over two hundred staples in his leg.

Today he is doing better, although he likes to tease people by telling them he was bitten by a shark.

My daughter’s shoulder never healed. The clavicle would not mend. So she had to have a plate put in.

While healing from this surgery, her son, my youngest grandson and part of the Desperadoes,

was hurt in an accident at school while playing cops and robbers on a sliding board.  He broke his wrist and has a badly sprained foot.

I mentioned to my daughter that she may want to get her family blessed by a priest.

Maybe she can have them packaged in Styrofoam.

Get better ReRe and Nathan.
