What a wonderful opportunity for me to introduce to all my followers the fantastic singer, Robin Renee! When I hear music that I like; I want to share it. 

Below is some of Robin Renee's links to her music. I'll be doing an interview in the next few days, which I will share with you. But first let me tell you what I know about this talented Songbird, Robin Renee.

I met Robin when she attended several of our meetings for the South Jersey Writers Group.
We have several writers in our group who also write music, so, I guess Robin felt comfortable hanging with us. A mutual friend kept telling me how good Robin's music was, so I listened to her music on Youtube. Guess what?   I've listened to some of her music from This, which was released in September of 2012 and I really enjoyed Robin's style. A Large Party in a Small Yard

                                                                           

I wanted to do something special for my sisters. Lucy, the youngest, just retired from her Philadelphia City job. Jane, the sister who I’ve been trying to give away since her birth, was celebrating her birthday. So I had a party on Saturday, during a heat wave, a scorcher!

It was freaking hot, but, we found a way to keep the little ones cool. Unfortunately, they would not let the adults join them. Luckily, we have a finished basement and a pool table, so we were able to party a bit before we all began to melt.

                                                                       

                            I love having family over, but I might have to get a bigger pool.

                                                                              

Interview with the Amazing Tim Turner

                                                                             

You meet the nicest people on Twitter, and Tim Turner is one of them. When he asked me to check out his music on YouTube, I did and was pleasantly surprised at how good he was. So, I asked him to be a guest on my blog and he said yes. So,  here we go! 



 What kind of music do you enjoy playing.

I really enjoy playing all types of music! Whether it be straight up Jazz right out of a "Real Book" or singing a part in a choral piece, I really do enjoy every single genre of music in some way or another! That being said, my favorite styles of music to play are Jazz, Soul, Pop, Blues, and R and B! Those are the styles that really speak to me best!

 

Do you write your own music.

I sure do! I have been writing my own music since I was 9 years old. I enjoy the writing process. For this album that's coming up shortly, we wrote 26 songs and chose the best 12 to actually produce.
                                                                      

Where can people find your music.

My main produced songs are currently on iTunes. Those songs are in a 5 song EP and were released in 2009.

What are your plans for the future.

In the immediate future, we are releasing this 6 song first run and that is a very limited release, so only people who know me will have the chance to buy the new songs. We will then shop those songs to labels to get a little support. Then I will play some shows on the West Coast and after that, the sky is the limit I suppose! :) You never know what will happen, but we think people are really going to like what we've crafted here.

 

What musician or band inspires you and your music.

Boy there are really just too many to list here. But I think people have sighted that this project is a throwback to old school James Brown and the likes, but modern influences would include but are not limited to: Janelle Monae, Nikka Costa, Craig David, Robin Thicke, Justin Timberlake, James Morrison, Michael Buble, and the list goes on and on!

Sisters Part 5, Parties, Roaches and a Dash of Tonto

This was a busy 4^th of July weekend spent with family. Good news, so far, I haven’t killed my sister Jane; I did come close to the dastardly deed during our second trip to the Laundromat. I use bleach; she doesn't.

                                                                           

 

We headed over to Philly and the Academy to say hello to my friends and to see the new exhibit, Glow. We had a ball and I got to hold my favorite bug. Yes it's ugly, but I like them and they've been here for a very long time.

The weekend was a flurry of activities: museums, picnics, fireworks, shopping, ice cream and a great movie. This past Friday, Jane, Lucy, my husband and me went to the Pop Shop for dinner. My husband is still getting accustomed to the sisters even after thirty three years of marriage. He wanted real food; we didn’t.

                                                                          

                                                

Banana Splits were ordered and even Dan caved in to the impulse. Bad move! If you thought I was hyper energy before, you haven’t seen me on a sugar high. We had time to kill before the movie so we headed to the Deptford Mall. As you can see, we’re still fighting off that sugar high

We went to see The Lone Ranger with Johnny Depp as Tonto and Armie Hammer as the Lone Ranger. The movie was great!!

Episode: Sixty-eight of Lilith's Escape

 

                                                                       

Edward was worried and went looking for Lilith as soon as he returned to the refugee area. She was in the midst of a group of soldiers and busy talking to Tzaddik. When Edward walked up to her, she smiled.

“You got a minute?” Edward asked her. He didn’t mean to sound so gruff, but Ruth and her arsenal, worried him.

“Yes,” Lilith replied and then followed Edward to a quiet corner.

                                                                  

“Don’t let Ruth fire those missiles,” Edward whispered. “I’ll get into the enemies base and I’ll bring back Lazarus…just keep that trigger happy bitch from blowing up the east coast.”

“She’s scared, that’s all. Don’t worry, love,” Lilith said moving into Edwards arms.

He was still angry with her, but when she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him; his anger was replaced with a much stronger emotion; lust.

“Let’s get out of here,” Edward said to the nymph in his arms. Luckily, Lilith knew of a few private areas inside the underground stronghold that were perfect for their romantic escapade. She was able to find a storage room.

                                                                         

“Are you still angry with me?” Lilith asked Edward as she closed and locked the door. But Edward answered her question with a kiss and much more.
